Amazing Athletes is gearing up for its biennial national conference, which brings together Amazing Athletes franchisees from around the nation for a fun-filled two days of relationship building, training seminars and hands-on activities.

This year, the conference will take place at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa in Las Vegas from June 27-28. At the two-day conference, franchisees will have the opportunity to see firsthand the latest changes in the curricula, train for the new additions to the program, and learn more about the latest in business ownership and child development topics.

“As a franchise owner, you run the business by yourself, and sometimes you feel completely alone,” said Amazing Athletes co-founder Dr. Janee Henderson. “Bringing the franchisees together allows them to build relationships they can use as they grow their business.”

The first day of the conference is geared toward education about the business and industry, with special guest speakers discussing topics such as business growth, franchise management and the latest in child development. Day one also features a hosted cocktail hour for franchisees to mix and mingle among their peers. Amazing Athletes owners Glen and Janee Henderson will also award the 2013 Franchise of the Year and Rookie of the Year; announce the winners of the 2014 Franchise of the Year and Rookie of the Year; and award franchisees with 500+ students enrolled, with 750+ students enrolled, and franchisees who have been going strong for five or more years. New to the award system this year will also be the new “MVP – Franchisee’s Choice” award, which will honor the franchisee who is selected by his or her fellow franchisees for contributing the most to the Amazing Athletes program and experience as a whole.

The second day of the conference is focused more on the Amazing Athletes program itself, with speakers introducing new equipment and curricula and franchisees discussing best practices in their own business development. And because this is Amazing Athletes, we get our franchise owners moving by having them test out new equipment, training owners on new curricula, running speed and agility drills, or having fun with relay races and team scavenger hunts. The second day concludes with a formal sit-down dinner at the end of the second night, where the Hendersons will thank everyone for another two great years of hard work and get them reinvigorated for the upcoming year. This year, the Amazing Athletes conference is slated to be more exciting and interactive than ever with new adventures around every turn.

“Our goal this year is to make this conference as interactive as possible. We know that learning is driven through activity – the more active and involved you are, the more you will learn,” said Henderson. “We are going to ride the theme of our ‘Breakthroughs’ documentary for the conference. Believe in the Power of Movement – Be the Movement – will be highlighted. We want franchisees to walk away at the end of next year newly energized about their business and ready to ‘be the movement’ in their own communities.”
