Amazing Athletes of Eastern Oklahoma and Monterey’s Little Mexico team up to raise funds for Sequoyah Elementary School’s sports enrichment program
Youth sports enrichment franchise and Tulsa-area Tex-Mex café are joining hands to make Amazing Athletes’ program available to all students at the low-income elementary school.
Tulsa, OK (Oct. 23, 2014) – Amazing Athletes of Eastern Oklahoma and Monterey’s Little Mexico are raising funds to help make Amazing Athletes’ sports enrichment program available to all students at Sequoyah Elementary School.
Although Amazing Athletes is easily on of the students’ favorite classes at Sequoyah Elementary, many families are unable to pay for the monthly fee to bring the program to their children’s school.
“At Amazing Athletes, we try to do as much in the community as possible,” said Amazing Athletes of Eastern Oklahoma owner, Michael Amberg. “Sequoyah Elementary is a low-income school and has many children whose parents have no way of paying for Amazing Athletes classes. We feel that this should not prevent these children from having the opportunity to become more active and learn all about sports.”
Monterey’s Little Mexico has held several fundraiser nights at one of their local restaurants, with proceeds going to Sequoyah Elementary to help pay for Amazing Athletes classes at the school to help low-income families pay for Amazing Athletes classes for their kids.

About Amazing Athletes of Eastern Oklahoma:
Amazing Athletes of Eastern Oklahoma is a mobile educational sports program for preschool-aged youth, ages 2 to 12 years old. Amazing Athletes’ structured, year-round curriculum teaches children the fundamentals and mechanics of nine different sports, while helping them master seven key areas of motor development. Amazing Athletes coaches work with each child at his or her own progression level to ensure all children are able to meet, master and exceed their development milestones and reach their highest potential. Classes are taught in a non-competitive, learning-based environment, and the research-based progressive curriculum is designed to promote a child’s whole development — physically, mentally, emotionally and socially.
