5 Holiday Activities to Do with Your Athlete
- Add Holiday Cheer to Power Foods
While baking cookies for Santa is always fun, athletes will also have a blast exploring yummy ways to prepare all the power foods we learned about this year! Check out our power food recipes here on the blog for lots of fun ideas!
- Take a Stroll Through the Park
Rather than drive around to see Christmas lights, many local parks have walking trails decorated for the holiday season. Some parks and zoos even have reindeer that visit just for Christmas time. Just be sure to bundle up and stay warm!
- Gift Scavenger Hunt
Who said all the gifts have to go under the tree? Hide hints around the house that lead to the gift. You can also hide holiday items like Santa’s hat, stockings, and more and award a prize to the first person to find all the items on the scavenger hunt list!
- Reindeer Games
Practice throwing and jumping skills with these fun Reindeer Games from Party Game Ideas. Reindeer can compete for healthy treats and learn how to land Santa’s sleigh on Christmas night!
- Interactive Story Time
Make story time active by adding motions and actions. Create “action words” that require your little athlete to get up and move. Every time you hear the word “Santa,” spin around, or try to fly like Santa’s magic reindeer by jumping up high whenever you hear Rudolph’s name!
We hope all of our amazing athletes and their families have happy holidays and a wonderful new year!
