21 Dec Holiday Donations

Thursday, November 23rd, 2017. Amazing Athletes of San Diego decided to spend their Thanksgiving helping children living in poverty.  After discovering of KKIS, a wonderful nonprofit that specifically works with low-income children,  Sonja (Owner of Amazing Athletes of San Diego) and her family knew that they had to help in any fashion they could. They made a monetary donation along with donating 35 Amazing Athletes shirts to Mexican school children living below the poverty line through the KKIS Project. After seeing the children receive the donations, most of which do not have access to running water, she said that they felt like there was more they had to do to help. Sonja and her family decided that they need to help more, and decided that they are planning for more future trips to donate. 

The KKIS Project (Keeping Kids In School) is a 100% nonprofit and volunteer-run organization. The KKIS Project provides financial support, educational challenge and community connections to public school administrators, teachers, students and parents in order to help improve perception, affordability and graduation rates in the public schools of Playa del Carmen. We have learned that many of these kids in Mexico do not go to school (especially high school that costs $500/year) only because they cannot afford the school supplies needed.
